In Marvel Comics, Hank Pym and Scott Lang’s incarnation of theAnt-Mancharacter are staple members of the Avengers team, equipped with incredible size-changing powers that turn them into surprisingly formidable foes. But in a new cosplay design,Ant-Man succumbs to the zombie virusand becomes an undead version of himself, changing this once stand-up superhero into a gruesome ghoul with complete command over his thousand-strong horde of zombie ants!
A cosplay brought to life on Instagram by Haunted Cosplay (@hauntedcosplay), this creator has recently been giving lots of love to their one-of-a-kind werewolf x Wolverine design dubbed Werewolverine, one that sees Haunted Cosplay transform into a monstrous half-wolf, half-Wolverine beast whose savagery knows no bounds.

Also developing other creepy cosplay like Pennywise from Stephen King’sIt, the Lipstick Demon fromInsidiousfranchise fame, and even a deep-cut Bunnymund design from Dreamworks’ animatedRise of the Guardiansmovie,Haunted Cosplay usually takes on projects that go a step further than a simple costume to turn them into realistic real-world designs.

Zombified in the firstMarvel Zombiesseries released in 2005 by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips, this particular Ant-Man appearance was a bit of a cheat, as the original hero, Hank Pym,wasn’tAnt-Man at the time, but Giant-Man instead, a completely different superhero without the same instantly recognizable costume that Ant-Man has. However, in MarvelZombies: Dawn of Decay #3, by Thomas Krajewski and Jason Muhr,Scott Lang’s Ant-Manalsobecomes a giant zombie, with Scott at least getting to wear Ant-Man’s body suit while rampaging as an infected, with this cosplay fully delivering on his unrealized undead design.
Spider-Man Has Cracked a Big Secret Behind Ant-Man’s Iconic Powers
Spider-Man is Earth’s new magical guardian, with Spidey revealing an incredible shrinking power that shows off how Ant-Man could use his powers next.
Featuring four photos shot by Mark (@nycosplayer) that give goosebumps the second viewers swipe through them, Haunted Cosplay’s utterly terrifying Hollywood-level makeup and overall design easily make this zombie Ant-Man one of thebestMarvel Zombiescostumesthe community has ever produced. Wearing a half-destroyed helmet (and a half-destroyed face, for that matter), Haunted Cosplay ups this design’s impressiveness tenfold witha unique addition that places a broken Ant Farm inside Ant-Man’s chest, leading hundreds of tiny ants to burst forth from every crevice in this hero’s mangled corpse, seen up close and in gory detail in all four pictures.

Marvel ZombiesDeserves a Live-Action Adaptation After Seeing This Ant-Man Cosplay
Last but not least, Mark (@nycosplayer) finishes this series in style with aNight of the Living Dead-esque black-and-white version of Haunted Cosplay’s (@hauntedcosplay) look, bringing this scary good cosplay full circle. It remains to be seen if the MCU will ever get a true real-world take on a superhero zombie apocalypse, but fans shouldn’t worry, asthe animated arm of the MCU will soon be getting an entireMarvel Zombiestelevision showon Disney+ in October 2025, ensuring thatAnt-Mancould get a new zombified look, as long as they get Scott Lang’s head out of his jar first.
