Green Arrow actor Stephen Amell opens up about how there was almost anArrowmovie for his take on theDChero and explains why it didn’t move forward. It has been nearly four years sincetheArrowendingbrought a conclusion to Oliver Queen’s journey in the Arrowverse. While Amell did appear in an episode ofThe Flashseason 9 in 2023, the world is always hoping to see more of his iteration of the DC hero in the future.
During his latest appearance onInside of You with Michael Rosenbaum,Amell was asked if he would ever be up for doing anArrowmovie. However, it turns out this was an idea they had explored before,as Amell revealed that anArrowmovie was close to happening, sharing the following:
That would be fun. We tried to do that, but it didn’t [happen]. To my understanding, it just got killed at the studio level from people that I think were making decisions that were fear-based.

For clarity, it remains to be seen when thisArrowmovie was being developed, asit is unclear if the project was being attempted during or after the show’s run. Despite not having a movie happening, the audience can always relive every single season ofArrowon Blu-ray/DVD and through streaming.
