As part of Lindsay Lohan’s creative partnership with Netflix, which started in 2021 withFalling For Christmas, comes the Christmas rom-comOur Little Secret, directed by Stephen Herek and executive produced by Lohan.Our Little Secretis the story of Avery (Lohan) and Logan (Ian Harding), who met when they were kids and, with time, their friendship turns into love – however, they break up when Avery gets a job in London.
Ten years later, Avery is back, and she’s dating Cam (Jon Rudnitsky) and Logan is dating Cassie (Katie Baker). Avery and Logan are set to spend the holidays with their partners’ family – what they couldn’t have anticipated was Cam and Cassie being siblings. Avery and Logan agree not to tell anyone that they know each other and dated for years, but they aren’t counting on Cam and Cassie’s youngest brother learning about their secret.Our Little Secretmostly takes place indoors, but not all of these places can be visited.

A key scene inOur Little Secretwas filmed at the Northside United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Avery and Logan make a deal: Logan will help Avery win over Cam and Cassie’s mother, Erica (Kristin Chenoweth), and Avery will help him write a construction proposal. As part of Logan’s efforts to get Erica to like Avery, he signs the latter up to read a passage during service as Erica is taking everyone to church. However, Avery eats gummies she finds in Callum’s jacket, which turn out to be THC gummies, and she’s too high when they get to the church.
As Avery is too stoned to even read, she improvises a speech using lines from Kool & the Gang’s “Celebration”, with the choir starting to sing the iconic song and the attendees joining the celebration.These scenes were filmed at an actual church, both outside and inside, and according tothe church’s official website, it was established in 1950, with the Chapel built in 1952 and the Sanctuary in 1957.
Atlanta Metro Area
Avery and Logan come from Peachtree City, Georgia, but a lot of scenes were filmed in the Atlanta Metro Area. Most scenes inOur Little Secrettake place indoors, but there are a couple of scenes where the characters are out and about: Avery, Cam, Cassie, and Logan go out to a bar one night, Avery and Logan go get a Christmas tree for Erica, and Cam, Cassie, Avery, and Logan go out to buy the presents for the Secret Santa.

The house of Erica’s family is also real and located in Atlanta, but the movie only used the house’s exterior.The house is in the Buckhead/Chastain area, but no scenes were filmed inside(viaHouse Beautiful). The production team built a replica of the house’s front door and patio for the scene where Avery, Cam, Logan, and Cassie arrive at the house so they could do the transition from outside to inside the house, but all scenes indoors were shot somewhere else.

It’s a very common practice in movies and TV shows to film on soundstages, where sets are built according to what the story requires. In many cases, such asOur Little Secret, real places are used only for outside shots and all interiors are built on soundstages. Speaking toExtraTV(viaSportskeeda), Lohan shared that it was fun to shootOur Little Secreton a soundstage, as it creates a different atmosphere of structure and allows all of them to get to know each other better as they spend a lot more time together.
The house’s design was planned as an extension of Erica and thus a contrast to Avery in every way.
As explained by production designer Ryan Sbaratta (viaHouse Beautiful), the interiors of Erica’s house were built on a soundstage, and the layout was different from that of the real house. This was made to furthershow the limited privacy Avery and Logan would havewhile in the houseand while keeping their secret for days.
