Soldier Supreme’s new spell creates an arresting visual, almost tailor-made for the big screen. Having a magician like Sebastian Szardos on the team enables power upgrades like this, withthe spell seemingly tailored to his teammates’ specific skill sets.Peggy receives added firepower from the extra floating machine guns, allowing her to perforate a fuel truck for Fury to shoot with his magic sniper rifle and destroy the massive demonic monster that appeared at the end ofHellhunters#3.

The Soldier Supreme has yet to appear outside of comics, but he feels like a breakout character if introduced into the MCU.First appearing inAvengers (Vol. 8)#50, Sebastian Szardos was trained by the Ancient One and given the Eye of Agamotto during World War II. Szardos led a team known as the Secret Invaders on several occult covert missions during the war. In addition to the unofficial team seen inHellhunters, the Secret Invaders includedthe vampire hunter Blade, the Ghost Rider tank squadron, and War-Thing, the WWII-era answer to Man-Thing.
