This confirmed a popular fan theory floating around long before the movie was made.

Speaking withCollider,Moss explained how she didn’t have any direct input in the decision to make Trinity the Onealongside Neo inThe Matrix Resurrections. However, the actor explained it had nothing to do with a lack of interest in the theory, but rather the trust she wanted to put her faith in director and co-writer Lana Wachowski, whose vision she wanted to follow. No, I didn’t really ever have any input, only because they have all of it in their minds. I’m really a conduit of just bringing to life something that they created.

When you work with a filmmaker that is very clear and lives and breathes it. You just trust them. That’s number one. You trust them. Then you just become a vessel in a way, like it’s a co-creation, of course, but any of that kind of stuff, I just trusted her.
