The Franchise Continues To Be Just as Popular Despite Its Long Absence
Ever since its release in 2012,Haikyu!!has been an instant hit in Japan, so much so that the series is known to have influenced the very popularity of the sport it portrays. Despite its fourth season having aired back in 2020,Haikyucontinues to be a wildly successful franchise both in Japan and internationally and the performance of theDumpster Battlemovie only goes to prove that interest in the series has not died down even a bit during this time. In fact,The Dumpster Battlegrossed 2.23 billion yen in its opening weekalone in Japan and even went on to earn100.4 million USD worldwide, making its Blu-ray sales quite unsurprising in retrospect.
