Superman & Loisseason 4 brings the story to a close, reuniting the show’s core cast members for one last story about the Man of Steel and his steadfast reporting ally. Theending ofSuperman & Loisseason 3promised a massive storyline for its successor, as one half of the titular duo was left fighting off Doomsday while the other was reckoning with Lex Luthor’s arrival at Smallville. As of theending ofSuperman & Loisseason 4’s premiere, the Kent family is left in the aftermath, setting up a big story for the coming conclusion.
Superman & Loisseason 4 adapts the Death of Supermancomic book run, complete with Luthor’s involvement and the reveal of Doomsday. As such, many of the main characters from previous seasons return as the show flies towards its ending, despiteSuperman & Loisseason 4’s reduced cast. In light of this, though, it is worth exploring which characters will be integral toSuperman & Loisseason 4, which actors portray these characters, and what lies in store for the show’s long-awaited finale.

Sam Lane
Character:Walsh plays Sam Lane inSuperman & Loisseason 4, the father of Lois. Despite initially being reported as being cut fromSuperman & Loisseason 4, it was eventually revealed that Sam would appear only in a reduced role. Early in the season, Sam is shown escaping from Lex Luthor’s clutches with the help of Lois and Jordan. Sam is the only character with knowledge of where Luthor’s daughter, Elizabeth, is, making him a target for the Superman villain.
