Summary
The titular robot inSunny’s episode 7 shows some strange behavioral changes, which sets the stage for several intriguing story developments. TowardSunnyepisode 6’s endingmoments, Mixxy finds Sunny after the homebot gets abducted by Hime and her men. However, to her and Suzie’s surprise, something seems wrong with the robot. Hime’s Seems To Plot A Bigger Plan
InSunnyepisode 5, Noriko calls a mysterious man when she misses her son, Masa. Although the episode does not reveal who the mysterious man is, he seems to be Masa’s biological father, Hiromasa Matsumoto. Before walking through Suzie and Mixxy’s adventures,Sunnyepisode 7’s opening arc seemingly features the same man. While working through his daily chores, the man suddenly encounters a masked intruder who shoves him and his homebot down the stairs to kill him. The episode does not reveal the identity of this intruder, but her hairstyle reveals she is Hime.
Hime’s reasons for killing the man remain unclear. However, inSunny’s episode 6, Suzie tells Hime about Masa’s biological father when she pressurizes her to unlock his laptop. Hime might have realized that Masa’s father could be a loose end in their plan to keep the truth about Masa’s fate a secret. Therefore, she kills him before he can threaten her grand plan.

Suzie and Mixxy initially believe that something inside Sunny is seriously broken and that she may never regain consciousness. However, to Suzie’s surprise, Sunny finally awakens in episode 7, but something seems wrong with her. Instead of being her old friendly self, Sunny seems rude, hostile, and self-serving. Even though Sunny denies she has changed when Suzie asks her what is wrong with her, her tone and snarky comments suggest she is not the same.
7Sunny Has A Strange Reaction To Mixxy and Suzie’s Fight

Mixxy loses her job after she gets a little too involved in Suzie’s ever-growing problems. This leads to an argument between the two characters, where Mixxy cannot help but blame Suzie for her professional downfall. As Mixxy and Suzie’s argument gets heated, Sunny enters the room and interferes. When Mixxy accuses Suzie of caring more about the homebot than her,Sunny gets mad and punches her in the stomach. This surprises Suzie and Mixxy because they had previously never seen Sunny showing any violent tendencies.
Before Sunny can further harm Mixxy, Suzie orders her to sleep, realizing Hime and her men did something to her. Sunny’s reaction ends Suzie and Mixxy’s fight but raises several questions surrounding what has happened to her. Therefore, Suzie and Mixxy take her to a local engineer, hoping to find answers.

Sunny’s previous episodes revealed that Hime wishes to inherit her father’s yakuza empire. However, before his death, her father wanted to hand over his empire to Hime’s cousin because he had been his biggest ally for years. Hime hopes to impress her father by getting her hands on theDark Manual. However, to her dismay, her father passes away before that can happen. In episode 7, she learns that her cousin was with her father during his final moments,leading her to believe he killed him.
With this newfound realization, she confronts her cousin, but he brushes off her allegations. She even tries to convince him that the yakuza could benefit from her discoveries surrounding theDark Manual. However, he seems deadset on reigning as the new leader of the yakuza.

After feeling increasingly lonely, Noriko intentionally gets herself arrested inSunnyepisode 6’s opening moments. She even seems to have a good time with her fellow inmates in episode 7 because it helps her beat her loneliness. However, things take a dark turn when an inmate suspects she might have intentionally gotten herself locked up inside prison. She warns her that a woman tried to do something similar in the past and things got so bad for her in prison that she had to be moved to a different block. Following this encounter, Noriko might ask Suzie to bail her out.
