Star Wars: The Battle of Jakku - Republic Under Siege (2024)#1– written by Alex Segura, with art by Stefano Raffaele – features Luke Skywalker and Rynn Zenat traveling to the swamp planet of Lehanis, where they discover a Jedi relic called the “Compendium” that belonged to Ky Narec, a Jedi Master who sent one of his students, the infamous Dark Side assassin Asajj Ventress, down a dark path.
While acquiring the sun dial-like device, they are ambushed bythe Acolytes of the Beyond. During the confrontation, the Acolytes reveal they’re only there to distract Luke from something bigger.

In previous issues ofThe Battle of Jakkucomic series, Luke Skywalker was called by the Force to a planet called Pillio. There, Luke found a Jedi Star Compass, and faced the Acolytes of the Beyond for the first time, as they sought to claim the compass for themselves. That compass eventually led Luke to the first ever Jedi temple on Ahch-To, and most likely to other planets strong in the force, such as Ossus, the home of Skywalker’s own Jedi Order.
