The Amazing Spider-Man#61 comes from the new creative team of Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness, and officially kicks off the“8 Deaths of Spider-Man”storyline, which will feature Spidey being recruited by Doom to save the world from an evil demi-god and his scions.
The preview depicts Spider-Man running into a bit of the old Parker luck while dealing with a forgettable villain,showing that no matter how fantastic the story may ultimately become, Kelly and McGuinnness understand the core virtues of Spider-Man.
