The hit Apple TV+ show released its first season in early 2022 to acclaim from both critics and audiences, who have been eagerly anticipating further episodes after an eventful finale. The trailer tracks the fallout from the events ofSeveranceseason 1’s finale, revealing that Mark and his fellow innies have become figureheads of the Severance Reform movement. The World Of Severance Is Expanding
After theend ofSeveranceseason 1, Mark (Adam Scott) and the rest of the MDR department aren’t in trouble despite breaking the rules. In fact, their coup has made them the face of Severance Reform. This movement was hinted at in season 1, but it seems like we may get some more context for the severance procedure and how it has impacted the outside world.
More elements of the outside world will also be explored. After Mrs. Cobel (Patricia Arquette) is fired, her relationship with Mark will evolve, especially considering they’re neighbors. Most importantly, though, it seems that Mark’s sister Devon (Jen Tullock) won’t be forgetting thatGemma, Mark’s wife, is actually alive, which will only further upend things at Lumon.

Speaking of Lumon: despite the fact that Milchick says there will be no consequences for theMDR department’srebellion, it’s clear that the company won’t just accept their behavior. The innies will be going on some sort of retreat, but it looks to be more a form of punishment than anything related to team-building.
Still, it looks like there will be less segmentation when season 2 rolls around, with Mark interacting with various members of other departments, including what looks to be thegoat departmentas well as whatever department Christie’s character is part of. WhileSeverance’s mysteries still remain under wraps, even from this trailer alone, it’s clear that season 2 will blow the lid wide open on some long-awaited answers.
