Multiple games potentially coming to theNintendo Switch 2have allegedly been leaked ahead of any official announcement from Nintendo. Since the first whisperings of a Switch successor, Nintendo fans have speculated about every possible aspect of the as-yet-unrevealed console, from its hardware to its release date to potentialgames on the Switch 2. With early rumors claiming that the Switch 2 is roughly equivalent in processing power to the PlayStation 4, the possibilities seem endless. And a fairly reliable source has finally revealed some of those possibilities, causing a whole new wave of speculation.

Frequent leakerNate The Haterecently offered a look at the Switch 2’s supposed release lineup on his podcast, includinga newMario Kartas a launch title,Final Fantasy 7 Remakebefore the end of 2025 (withRebirthto follow), and multipleAssassin’s Creedports(beginning withMirage) sometime after launch, according to a report byIGN. Nate The Hate also says thatMetal Gear Solid Delta, Konami’s remakeofMetal Gear Solid 3, might be on the Switch 2 - perhaps on the same date it’s released for other platforms. Nintendo has yet to confirm or deny any of this, but it paints an impressive picture of the Switch 2’s library.

Nate The Hate Has More Info On The Switch 2

Including A Potential Reveal Date

This comes immediately after a similar bombshell from Nate The Hate, who revealed, in the same episode of his podcast, the alleged date on whichthe Switch 2 will be revealed. Nate holds thatNintendo will officially announce the Switch 2 on June 25, 2025, in a presentation focusing on the console’s hardware. Following that, he predicts a May or June release date for the console.

Nintendo Switch 2: Why A Reveal This Week Seems Very Possible

The Nintendo Switch 2 is supposedly getting revealed this week, but is that actually likely to happen, and what evidence suggests it will?

However, don’t expect to see any of the games listed above (or below) to be featured. Apparently, this first presentation will focus solely on the console and its features, with details about the Switch 2’s library to be revealed later.

What Nate The Hate Expects For The Switch 2’s Library

During his podcast, Nate The Hate also rattled off several other games that may be coming to the Switch 2. The list begins with several Microsoft games, includingHalo: The Master Chief CollectionandMicrosoft Flight Simulatorare also rumored to be coming to the Switch 2. This goes along withMicrosoft’s recent shift to cross-platform releases, so it’s not out of the realm of possibility.

Nate also suggested the Switch 2 could get a hefty dose of Ubisoft, including a pair of games from theTom Clancy’suniverse:The DivisionandRainbow Six Siege. LikeAssassin’s Creed MirageandFF7 Rebirth, these were both available on the PS4 at launch, so if rumors about the Switch 2’s processing power are accurate, it only makes sense to bring these online shooters to Nintendo.

The Switch 2 Reveal Won’t Be As Big As The First Switch, And That’s OK

The original Nintendo Switch had a big reason to build hype that the Switch 2 doesn’t, but that doesn’t mean that the reveal will be underwhelming.

Finally, Nate also seems to confirm thatthe Switch 2 will have backwards compatibility - kind of. He says first-party Nintendo titles due to be released later this year will likely launch simultaneously on the Switch and the Switch 2. The jury’s still out on full backwards compatibility with the rest of the Switch library, though.

Again, none of this has been corroborated or denied by Nintendo, so take it with a grain of salt. Some insist that, based on Nate The Hate’s track record, these latest revelations are worth keeping an eye on. Still, we have no definite idea what theNintendo Switch 2library will look like, and it’ll likely remain that way until Nintendo makes an official announcement.
