Maika Monroe has been cast in the new horror movieBrides. Thehorror “scream queen” had her breakout role a decade ago in the 2014 horror filmIt Followsand, more recently, is known for playing Agent Lee Harker in this year’s Nicolas Cage horror filmLonglegs. Her other recent roles include parts inGod Is a Bullet,Significant Other, andWatcher. She is also slated to star in the upcomingIt Followssequel entitledThey Follow.

As perCollider, Monroe hasnow been cast in an upcoming horror film,Brides,which will be directed and written by Chloe Okuno. The new horror movie will be a 1960s-set period piece about Sally Bishop who travels with her husband to an Italian villa. When the villa’s mysterious owner takes note of the couple, he becomes determined to turn Sally into one of his vampire brides. Producing the film will be Andrew Bergman and Stephanie Azpiazu.
