This Isn’t the First TimeRanma 1/2Has Added New Details In Its Anime Adaptation

Some of the Most Iconic Elements from Rumiko Takahashi’s Story Originated from Anime

The most fascinating thing about the arrival of this new character in theRanma 1/2universe is that it’s not the first time something new has been introduced to the overall story. One of the best examples is Ranma’s hair color.WheneverRanma transforms into his female form, Ranma’s hair swaps from black to red to color code that he’s swapped genders. However, in the original manga, his hair stays the same color no matter which form he’s in. Still, this idea took on with fans so much that it became a defining trait of the character, even going so far as to be featured in colorized versions of the manga.

One Classic Anime Was So Forward Thinking, It Inspired My Personal Queer Discovery

Ranma 1/2 is a series that has become a cult classic among anime fans, but it was also so forward-thinking that it inspired my own queer discovery.

It’s too early to tell if Ichiro will have the same level of success as Ranma’s hair color swap had when it was first introduced in the anime. However, with the help of Tomokazu Seki’s voice talents, anything is truly possible. Ichiro will be making his debut this Saturday with episode 2 of Netflix’s remake ofRanma 1/2, and it’s one that certainly won’t want to be missed as another character is introduced to Rumiko Takahashi’s ever-expanding stories.
