Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has a surprise tie-in with the new McDonald’s Pokémon card Happy Meal, but only for those who have and use the app.

As for trading, we know that the game will introduce two new resources that arerequired to activate trades. Trading will be limited to friends only, with players using trade tokens to actually initiate a trade.Trade tokens assumably will recharge over time, but players can also use trade hourglasses to speed up the process. It’s worth noting that not everyPokémon TCG Pocketcard can be initially traded. Only certain 1-4 diamond cards and 1-star cards fromGenetic ApexandMythical Islandwill be available to trade. Our Take: Expansion Will Surely Shake Up The Pokémon TCG Pocket Metagame

We Can’t Wait To Start Opening New Packs

One of the fantastic parts aboutPokémon TCG Pocketis that the game has been pretty balanced so far, with several “meta” decks instead of one or two dominant deck archetypes. What will be interesting is how this new card set will shake up thePokémon TCG Pocketmetagame. Not only will trainer cards and the new Tool cards surely impact how decks are built, many of the new Pokémon ex cards will also spice things up. I can’t wait to start cracking open packs next week whenSpace-Time Smackdowncomes out.
