Dynamax Wooloo was one of the firstDynamax Pokémon available to catch inPokémon GOthrough special research when the concept was introduced into the game last year. Each weekone Pokémon is featured in Max Mondays between 6pm and 7pm local time, with Wooloo highlighted onMonday 21 June 2025.It is also in the regular Max Battle schedule during April.

Dynamax Wooloo Weaknesses & Resistance In Pokémon GO
Types To Use And Avoid
Dynamax Wooloo is not the hardest Pokémon that you will encounter in Max Battles, but it is still vital that you know its weaknesses and resistances before you attempt to take it on.Wooloo is a pure Normal-type PokémoninPokémon GO. Dueto this, it is only weak againstFighting-type moves. Any Pokémon that uses Fighting-type moves will do an additional 60% damage with each one, making this fight much easier.
Despite Wooloo being a fairly weak Pokémon, due to being in a Dynamax form, it has much greater CP, making it vital to take advantage of its weaknesses.

Wooloo onlytakes reduced damage from Ghost-type Pokémon, which means that you should avoid using them for this Max Battle as they will deal 60% less damage than other attacks. Any other Pokémon that you use for this battle that has attack types other than Fighting- or Ghost-types will deal the regular damage based on the move itself.
Pokémon GO: Best Teams For Ultra League & Spring Cup: Great League Edition
There are great options for the Ultra League Cup and Spring Cup: Great League Edition in Pokémon GO, but the best teams will help win more battles.
On Max Monday, during the featured hour,Wooloo will be the only Pokémon that can be found in Power Spots. Once you have found one, you can challenge it in person. This can be done solo or with up to three other players. However, due to Wooloo not being the strongest Dynamax Pokémon, it can easily be defeated by yourself. However, you do need to select three Pokémon for every Max Battle.

Dynamax Wooloo Best Counters In Pokémon GO
Fighting Types Key For Victory
The biggest problem for trainers when taking on Dynamax versions of Pokémon is thatyou can only use otherDynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. These are ones that have been previously caught in Max Battles, evolved from a Pokémon caught in a Max Battle, or caught through Special Research, as Dynamax Wooloo was when it was released intoPokémon GO. Due to Wooloo being weak to Fighting-type Pokémon you should select this type to counter it to make the battle easier.
Counter and Dynamic Punch
Counter and Superpower
Fighting
Despite Fighting-types not being the most common in Pokémon GO, there are four that have featured previously as a Dynamax Pokémon that can be used against Wooloo on Max Mondays. The strongest option if you have been able to catch one is Gigantamax Machamp. Its base form remains part of the meta in the game for many of theGO Battle League Cups inPokémon GO, and it is arguably the best Fighting-type in the game.
I have found that Dynamax Machamp is still more than strong enough to beat Wooloo if you don’t have it in its Gigantamax form.
Dynamax Passimian featured in Max Mondaypreviously and is a great option to use if you have caught it since it debuted in recent weeks. Whilst not the strongest Fighting-type available,Dynamax Falinksis more than capable of winning the battle on its own and, due to being released shortly after Dynamax Pokémon were added to the game, most trainers will have one.
Finally,Dynamax Kubfucan quickly dispatch Woolooif you managed to grab one when it was released earlier this year. However, any strong non-Ghost-types can also be used if required. Despite being regarded as one of the weakest Dynamax Pokémon inPokémon GO, you should use the best counters to ensure victory over Wooloo on Max Mondays.
