Teach’s impressive assault and defeat of Law’s Heart Pirates earned him vital Road Poneglyph information needed tofind the One Piece. However, other members of his formidable pirate crew met significant levels of success in kidnapping, infiltration, andgaining information that could grant Teach access to the ancient weapon Pluton and the location of Laugh Tale, where Roger’s ultimate treasure awaits.

While Luffy and his crew dealt with Dr.Vegapunk’s perilous situation involving the Five Elders, members of Blackbeard’s crew also infiltrated Egghead Island. The teleporting sniper Van Augur and shape-shifting Catarina Devon encountered and touched former Elder Saint Saturn, now enabling Devon to transform into one of the World Government’s highest-ranking members. Even though Saturn is now dead, it’s an identity that will likely unlock some doors in the right situation. However, before the Blackbeard Pirates left, the conniving Caribou pleaded to go with them, using his knowledge of Wano’s ancient weapon as his ticket to safety.

By gaining knowledge of Pluton’s location and Catarina’s transformation abilities, Blackbeard’s crew is ready to stir things up further. However, by capturing Luffy’s Grandpa Garp and Charlotte Pudding (one of the very few people alive who can read the dead language written on the Poneglyphs),the Blackbeard Pirates have more than enough to be considered the closest group to taking over the world,even without finding the One Piece.
Since Garp is one of the Marine’s most famous heroes, he’ll be a colossal bargaining chip that will be used against them in the future, unless Luffy’s grandpa somehow escapes. Pudding, on the other hand, may refuse to read the Poneglyphs for Teach, but Blackbeard’s master of stealth, Lafitte, has used hypnotizing in the past which could make Pudding share the hidden information.
