Summary
One Piece’s Egghead arc is reaching its conclusion, but not before showing off themost potent demonstration of Hakiyet that provedLuffyandShanksare still weak compared to one legendary pirate. The colossal Iron Giant, named Emet, was discovered by Luffy at the beginning of the arc and played a massive role in helping the Straw Hat escape from the clutches of the Five Elders and the Marines under their thumb, especially after using its secret weapon, which showed a level of power thatOne Piecefans have not yet seen.
One Piece’s mysterious power known as Hakihas been shown to have many impressive utilities, but arguably itsmost intimidating is Conqueror’s Haki. The few characters capable of using it have proven extra effective against Devil Fruit users and can even knock out weaker-willed foes within the user’s vicinity.
Previous chapters revealed that Marines must learn to utilize and withstand different types of Haki, and one can only reach the level of Vice Admiral with it. Author Eiichiro Oda provided more information about the mysterious Joyboy character during Dr.Vegapunk’s speech, illuminating the fact that he was regarded as the very first pirate who sailed the seas at the beginning of the Void Century 900 years ago. Chapter #1122 also showed that he shared a close bond with Egghead’s Iron Giant. Because Joyboy knew his large friend Emet would survive longer than him, he gifted him a large rope tied in a knot infused with themost powerful concentration of Conqueror’s HakiOne Piecehas seen yet.
Once the Haki knot was undone, the blast depowered the monstrous Five Elders, which forced them back to their home.
