Pokémon Trading Card Gamefans now have more of a reason than ever to take a trip to 7-Eleven, thanks to an exclusive promo launching with the convenience store chain. Trading card packs are readily available at most retailers, with the occasional collaboration as new packs are released. Players in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines will want to pick up a booster pack for theStellar Crownset, as7-Eleven is getting its first-ever English promo.

Players who pick up a booster pack from the chain convenience store will getan English Lapras card, stamped with the 7-Eleven logo, according to a leak fromPokebeach. The promotion is expected to begin on Sept. 13, coinciding with the release of theStellar Crownset internationally.

TheStellar Crownsetis currently expected to release on Sept. 13, bringing with it four unique foil cards. Players may finda foil Drifloon, Bouffalant, Ledian, or Crabominablein the Build and Battle Box to add to their store promo exclusives.

Lapras Isn’t The Only Pokémon Getting A Store Promo For Stellar Crown

Lapras is nowone of three Pokémon to receive a store promotion alongside the upcoming release of the newest set. Archaludon has a store collaboration with EB Games and GameStop, while Raging Bolt will be given to customers at Best Buy. Players only have to make qualifying purchases of $15 or more onPokémon Trading Carditems to receive theexclusive promo cards.

New Stellar Pokémon Cards May Not Be So Game-Changing, After All

Stellar Tera Pokémon ex cards may be a new Pokémon ex variant, but some of their mechanics bear a striking resemblance to much older cards.

This is also not the first English-exclusive promotion Southeast Asian retailers have gotten for new Pokémon card packs. During the Regional Championships in Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia, thetop four players in each division were given a stamped English Chien-Pao ex card, making them incredibly rare editions. Top 8 players also received stamped versions of an English Ultra Ball card embedded in a trophy for their accomplishment, while participants were given a stamped English Ultra Ball card as a participation promo.

Though the English stamped Lapras will only be made available to customers in Southeast Asia, it’s bound to become an elusive piece of serious collectors' compendiums. The promos available in the U.S. will give players the chance to get other exclusive cards following the set’s release. There are a couple of new collections releasing for thePokémon Trading Card Gamebefore the year is out, and each of these comes with exclusive and rare cards to collect.
