WhenDaredevil: Born Againwas first put into development, there was no intention to really tie to what was established with these characters during the Marvel-Netflix era. However, after the big creative overhaul, it became clear thatDaredevil: Born Againwould continue what was established inNetflix’sDaredevilTV show, and a lot of that can be felt from the new clip. Even if it’s not shown,the references to their long history just highlight how far Daredevil and Kingpin have come in terms of their rivalry.
But what is also exciting is the fact that the power dynamic has severely changed, with Fisk having decided to run for mayor of New York, which is bound to complicate things intheDaredevil: Born Againstory. Since Kingpin knows who Daredevil really is, Matt is in a tougher position than before, especially with Fisk having the support of the people.
