We have just announced a green light for a series calledMercenary, which is part of theExtractionuniverse and starring Omar Sy and we’re thrilled about that one.
It’s an exciting opportunity to pursue a long-form narrative that explores many of the same themes that the first twoExtractionstouched on will sort of come at a singular mission through multiple perspectives. And it’s interesting to see how different mercenaries will have different allegiances and agendas and will be forced to make certain decisions that may be helpful or harmful to others.
So we’re super excited about that one. Omar [Sy] is at the core of it. Glen Mazzara is show running it, who’s brilliant, and we start production in September.

TheExtractionmovies may not be mind-blowing, but they are very entertaining films with incredible action sequences.
