My Hero Academiaseason 7,episode #16will be a real gamechanger, as the newly freed Kurogiri shuffles foes around the various battlefields, creating absolute chaos. It seems the hope that Kurogiri’s old personality as Shirakumo has finally died, cementing his status as a villain dedicated to Tomura Shigaraki.

Episode #15 showed the heteromorph rebellion come to a screeching halt, as the angry mob came face to face with doctors, including other heteromorphs like Dr. Yoshida, trying to protect their patients in the hospital. While this didn’t stop Spinner’s mindless assault, the civilians in the mob were given pause, being forced to decide just how violent they wanted to get. It seemsShoji’s words managed to get throughto at least some of the rioters, and what could’ve been a bloodbath was put to a stop before things really got out of control. With those inciting violence under arrest, the battle was able to come to a peaceful end.

Shoji attempts to keep the mob of heteromorphs from entering the hospital.

What Happened in My Hero Academia, Season 7, Episode #15?

Kurogiri Brings Chaos to the Battlefield

The heteromorph rebellion is petering out after the angry mob came to realize they’d have to hurt innocent doctors and nurses to accomplish what Spinner and the others manipulating them wanted to achieve. Shoji’s words managed to have an impact, bringing members of the mob back to their senses before it was too late. However,Kurogiri was still freed by Spinner alone, despite Present Mic’s best efforts. Kurogiri’s release is a major blow to the heroes, as he was able to transport numerous villains, including Dabi and Toga, to new locations.

While Dabi is thrilled to have a shot at Endeavor, Toga is the real problem, as she has consumed Twice’s remaining blood, allowing her to use his Quirk to bring about the Sad Man’s Death Parade, overflowing the battlefield with Twice clones. This is a worst-case scenario for the heroes, particularly Hawks, who is Toga’s primary target in her quest for vengeance. It also presents a major threat in that Kurogiri can get reinforcements to Shigaraki–possibly including All for One, which would truly be a decisive action. Things aren’t looking good for the heroes as the battle moves into its next phase.

Toga and her clones are teleported by Kurogiri to Hawks' location.

My Hero Academia Season 7, Episode #16 Has the Tables Turned on the Heroes

Toga’s Twice Clones Change the Tide of Battle

Episode #16 ofMy Hero Academiaseason 7 is entitled “The Chain Thus Far.” With Kurogiri back on their side, the villains have a massive advantage, which is first manifesting as Toga’s warp to the Mountain Villa battlefield, where Hawks was fighting All for One alongside Endeavor. Based on the preview, it looks like Ochaco managed to catch a ride, getting teleported alongside Toga. It also appears as if the battle against Shigaraki is taking a turn for the worse, since Aizawa was warped away, leaving Monoma without the physical contact he needs to copy the Erasure Quirk.

All for One is looking rather pleased at this turn of events, and the preview shows the return of Skeptic, who has been absent from the final battle. It’s not clear how Skeptic may be applying his hacking abilities, but it could potentially be catastrophic, disrupting communications between the heroes on various battlefields. Between Dabi and Toga, Endeavor and Hawks are sure to have their hands full, which may provide All for One with the perfect opportunity to escape. All for One meeting up with Shigaraki would be a nightmare scenario, so that has to be prevented at all costs… but how?

All for One, restored by Rewind to his prime.

The situation is certainly looking grim for the heroes, as Kurogiri’s release is causing a ripple effect that’s rapidly turning the tide of battle in the villains' favor. Things are darker than ever inMy Hero Academia’s final battle, but the heroes must hold strong if they’re to stand a chance at defeating the villains and protecting the world.
