In fact, Halle Berry and Alexandra Shipp’s Storm portrayals both lacked the character’s Kenyan accent. SZA’s comments are a bit inaccurate, though, as Storm wasn’t born in a"jungle”. Ororo Munroe was born in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, which is notable for its diverse ecosystems and geographical features, including lakes, plains, mountains, and even volcanoes — all of which provide rich narrative and audiovisual material for a Marvel movie.
