To join the Movie Live Event,choose the unique event server from the main menuwhen you start your game. This will load you into Midport Village, a unique world with multiple characters you may interact with to go on different adventures. While not a world you can find in thebest seeds forMinecraft, the Movie Live Event world still has plenty you can explore. However,the Movie Live Event world server lasts until August 14, 2025, giving you a short time to enjoy the content within it. Different quests will unlock every other day while the event world is active, so you’ll have to check in on it multiple times to claim each reward available.
Bedrock edition users ofMinecraftcan access the Movie Live Event immediately from the main menu. Java edition players may have to use the Bedrock version to participate, and then send over any rewards they gain to their other account.

As you can see, theYearn cape is awarded to you for completing the last quest challenge, which asks you to finish all the other missions first. These quests test your combat prowess and resource management, as you’ll be either killing enemies or mining for materials. Thankfully, I’ve found that The Mines area of the event server should have every resource you need, including thebest level for Diamonds inMinecraftto finish the last quest’s second goal.
There are two other capes available in theMinecraftMovie Live Event, named the"Home"and"Menace"capes. These items can be earned when you watch aMinecraftcreator for at least 3 minutes on either TikTok or Twitch and gain a redemption code for either cosmetic.
From my experience, the challenges in the limited-time event shouldn’t take too long to complete, especially if you pursue them with friends. Once you finally earn the Yearn cape in theMinecraftMovie Live Event, you will have earned the rarest reward possible to use in any other world you start in this iconic sandbox game.
