Our Take: Marvel Rivals Is Already Off To An Amazing Start
The Numbers Don’t Lie
Marvel Rivalswent live early this morning, and within 30 minutes of launch, there were over 300k players in-game on Steam alone. This is a monumental number, and not only was the number high, but the positive reviews came rolling in. What sets this hero-shooter apart is the way NetEase goes about some of the features. Making each hero completely free to play from the start of the title, as well as not forcing players to jump through hoops to get said heroes, is a major plus.
There are a few quirks and bugs, however, that still need to be worked out, and whileone of the best featuresof the title seems to be its biggest downfall, only time will tell ifMarvel Rivalstruly is theOverwatchkiller fans have deemed it to be.
