Netflix’s new slasherTime Cutfollows itsmain character Lucy Field(Madison Bailey) as she accidentally travels back in time 21 years to the first night of a serial killer’s killing spree.Lucy’s own sister Summer(Antonia Gentry) was one of the killer’s victims, so she was never able to meet her in her original timeline. However, Lucy uses her time in 2003 to befriend her sister and do everything possible to save Summer’s life.
WhileTime Cutis a very entertaining watch for audiences, the movie does leave some questions unanswered regarding what Lucy leaves behind in her original timeline. Throughout the movie, Lucy and Summer’s friendQuinn tries to warn them about the dangers of time traveling, asthere is no sure way to know how you might change the future when altering the past. For better or worse,Lucy’s story at the end ofTime Cutseems to prove this theory right because, by leaving her original timeline to save Summer, she inadvertently created a tragedy in her original timeline.

They are happy and attentive, and even take an interest in Lucy’s life despite not knowing her. At the end ofTime Cut,when Lucy decides to stay in 2003 for good,she is finally able to spend time with her parents and sister like she always wanted. Sadly, though, this could only happen because she was never born in the changed timeline.
