Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryhas turned into one of the best parts of the dinosaur franchise. While it’s hard to find an entry that can match Steven Spielberg’s iconicJurassic Park, the animated side of this world is exciting in a different way, exploring all that a different medium can offer. It would be hard to get a live-actionJurassic Worldseries going due to budget issues, which is why Netflix’sJurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, and now sequel seriesChaos Theory, have emerged as the perfect way to dive into this world on TV.

Cast

Season 2 picks up a little after whereJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 1left off. The Camp Cretaceous family is stowed away on a cargo ship filled to the brim with dinosaurs, with no idea where they’re headed. What the Nublar Five also don’t know is that Brooklynn is alive. AfterJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 1’s endingincluded that major reveal, things become clearer in season 2. But with answers come even more questions, and the characters are tested as a conspiracy unfolds around them.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 2 Is Brooklynn’s Season

Fans Of The Character Have A Lot To Look Forward To

It took me some time to adjust to Brooklynn’s voice actor change during season 1, but that was not an issue at all when watchingJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 2, with Kiersten Kelly doing a wonderful job in Jenna Ortega’s place. Brooklynn has always been one of the best characters in the animatedJurassic Worldfranchise, and after she was absent for a lot of season 1, I’m glad to say that her resourcefulness is back in full swing as her role in season 2’s mysterious storyline unfolds.

Brooklynn makes some interesting choices in her return, and the character is easily the season’s most exciting to follow.

The characters look at something in the dark in Jurassic World Chaos Theory season 2

My favorite aspect of season 1 was discovering how the characters — now young adults — had developed following their experiences in theCamp Cretaceousseries. As she mostly appeared through flashbacks, it was hard to understand how her past dinosaur encounters and more changed Brooklynn. Well,Jurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 2 makes sure to dive into that head-on, and she has a lot of focus. Brooklynn makes some interesting choices in her return, and the character is easily the season’s most exciting to follow.

That does not take away from the rest of the cast. While Brooklynn is this season’s driving character, all the others get moments to shine, but Kenji has to be the second-best this time around. The poor guy has gone through a lot, and Kenji’s season 2 arc acknowledges what he has had to endure and the toll that has taken on him. I was glad to delve deeper into the character’s emotional state this time around, and it also allowed the series to show just how much of a supportive family the Nublar Five are.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage

Chaos Theory Season 2 Serves As A Lesson To The Next Jurassic World Movie

After a trilogy starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the dinosaur franchise is set to return to the big screen, with2025’sJurassic World Rebirthstarring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali. I hope the team working on the movie and this new iteration of the franchise is aware of what the animated series is doing, asJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 2 does a lot of what I would love to see from the live-action films. AfterCamp Cretaceousestablished the animated franchise’s core cast,Chaos Theorysees them soar — especially in season 2.

Watching these characters grow has been a pleasure, andJurassic World: Chaos Theoryseason 2 presents them at their best, with off-the-charts chemistry.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Review: Big Bang Theory Franchise Successfully Moves Away From Sheldon

The Young Sheldon follow-up, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage proves how far Chuck Lorre’s TV franchise has come since The Big Bang Theory.

Dinosaur action would not be able to hold a flimsy plot and one-dimensional characters together, so I’m happy to say that with a compelling roster of characters — both old and new — and a high-stakes conspiracy unraveling with each episode, season 2 allows the show’s action sequences to be as tense, exciting, and hard-hitting as they should be. It’s the franchise at its best. It will be interesting to see how the showrunners can top what the show accomplishes this time around, but after an emotional finale, season 3 is set up to be even bigger.

All 10 episodes ofJurassic World: Chaos Theory season 2will be available to stream on Netflix on October 17.
