DC Comics Brings Back an Unkillable Hero to Save the Universe
Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma #1Available April 2nd
Mitch Shelley, aka Resurrection Man, is a hero that was introduced in the late ‘90s in his own self-titled series. No matter how Shelley is killed, he’s always able to come back from death. But everytime he is resurrected, Shelley has a new superpower that stays with him until the next time he’s killed. Resurrection Man’s original series followed Shelley as he traveled America, searching for the truth behind his powers and the past he’s forgotten. Shelley returned for a new series in The New 52,but since its cancelation, Resurrection Man hasn’t been seen since.
No one’s more excited for the return of Resurrection Man than Ram V, who had a statement in DC Comics' announcement, saying: “This is a story I’ve wanted to tell since I first started writing for DC”. The publisher also included preview art by Anand RK, which shows Shelley returning to life, as well as showcasing a new, glowing symbol on his chest. While details of the book remain slim for now,Resurrection Man is a character that is primed for exploration, especially by a writer like Ram V, who could add some interesting things to the fan-favorite character’s lore.
