Watson Is The Perfect House Replacement Show

House & Watson Are Similar Characters

By removing the mystery behind Sherlock’s death and theSherlock Holmeslore,Watsonis a great replacement forHouse. BothWatson and House are snarky, but brilliant doctors with teams full of proteges and specialists.Of course, House is much more cynical than Watson, but the similarities remain. While speaking toTV Insider, creator Craig Sweeny teased Watson’s season 1 arc, and his comment further proves the physician’s similarity to House. Sweeny said:

“[Watson] has a very serious traumatic brain injury, and that’s going to be a major plot point in the season. He’s self-medicating, and Moriarty’s ability to monkey with those medications is a very important thing as we advance through the season.”

As many will remember,Hugh Laurie’s Housewas addicted to Vicodin. Meanwhile,Watson will be self-medicating in the new CBS series. However, not only are the characters alike, but the two shows' premises are parallel. The medical dramas explore mysterious medical cases that the characters must solve to treat their patients. Ultimately, if one loves and missesHouse,Watsonis the answer.
