New leaked enemies fromHonkai: Star Rail3.0 and beyond have started to leak, and a group of them may play around with meta team comps due to their unique abilities. Version 3.0 should kick off the game’s third year of post-launch existence and, with it, introduce the fourth world for Trailblazers to explore. In Version 2.0, players were taken to Penacony, the Planet of Festivities, where they solved another Stellaron Crisis – as the Nameless continue their journeys across the galaxy, they are expected to reach yet another destination and help the local populace deal with its problems.

With every new destination, not only does the turn-based RPG by HoYoverse gain a new set of characters that are gradually introduced but also new sets of enemies that match the world’s general themes. So far, there have been some rumors about Version 3.0, and most of them are centered around characters. There have been someHonkai: Star RailStoneheart character leaksindicating the arrival of another IPC unit after Version 3.0, for example, as well as the return of the HP-loss mechanic in some characters, which may take over the reign of follow-up attacks in the game’s current meta.

Leaked Enemies In Honkai: Star Rail May Consider Characters’ Positions In Team Comps

Team Lineup Orders Could Affect Enemies’ Attacks

Four new enemy codenames for Version 3.0’s fourth world have allegedly leaked, according to information provided by the leaker known as Sakura Haven. The details were shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” onReddit. As seen in the leak, the leaked Unicorn and Griffin enemy types may have attacks that target three of the player’s characters that are not in the first position of the team comp’s lineupif all four playable units are still alive. This would mean that the position of characters inHonkai: Star Rail’s team compswould start to heavily influence gameplay.

Hearse and Nikadory, the other two enemy types listed in the leak, lack gameplay descriptions – the rumors only speculate on what their names could mean.

Character Positions In Teams Already Have A Minor Effect In Honkai: Star Rail

The Lushaka Ornaments Already Have Bonuses Based On Positions

Currently, the order of characters’ positions in teams does not play too large a part in gameplay, though it does affect some specific mechanics. The first, which has been present since the game’s release, is thatcharacters who are often targeted by enemies are better placed in the first or last slot of the team comp. As such, an enemy’s attack with a blast radius would affect the target and only one adjacent target – if the targeted character were attacked in the center of a team comp, the blast damage would hit two different adjacent characters.

Honkai: Star Rail 2.6’s New Event Hints At Herta’s Leaked 5-Star Form

Details about 5-star Herta in Honkai: Star Rail may be revealed during a Version 2.6 event and they may link with previous leaks about her.

The second mechanic came into play more recently with the introduction of the Lushaka, the Sunken Seas Planar Ornament set. This Ornament set grants a secondary buff effect to the first character in theHonkai: Star Railteam lineup orderwhen the user themself is not in the first position. As such, the order in which characters are positioned in a team comp is important when Lushaka, the Sunken Seas Ornaments are being used by a characterin the current team comp. Other than these, there are few reasons to care too much about the order of a lineup.

Team Lineup Orders Could Start To Matter More In Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 & Beyond

Characters’ Positions Could Affect Team Comp Structures

If new enemies that care about characters’ positions in team lineups are arriving with the game’s next destination, then this type of mechanic may start to become even more important as new patches roll in. If the order of characters in lineups starts to matter this much, players will have a brand new layer of strategic thinking to go through once they start planning out team comps for their characters. Since order could now play an important role in regards to who gets targeted, it may be worth leaving theHonkai: Star Railsupport in the first slot, for example.

Why I’m So Excited About Honkai: Star Rail’s New Leaked Characters (& Why You Should Be Too)

There are rumors of two new Honkai: Star Rail characters arriving after Version 3.0 that will bring back the best combat mechanic so far.

However, if that same support is using Lushaka Ornaments, they may be better off sustaining damage from the leaked enemies in Version 3.0 so as to trigger the ATK buff for their main DPS in the first slot of the party. A lot of extra planning out may come as a result of the mechanic. Of course, this should be taken with caution, as the leaked Version 3.0 enemies may be incorrect, incomplete, or subject to change. Nevertheless,Honkai: Star Railis consistently getting deeper into gameplay mechanics, so team lineup orders should not come across as such a surprise.
