Only time will tell if this ghost power makes another appearance.

It turned out thatthe basement ghosts can give living people cholera, although only temporarily, and not contagiously. This gruesome fate befell the entirety of Jay’s staff at once, meaning Sam finally had to talk to Flower about the apocalypse and her naïveté. Fortunately, Sam, Alex, Jay, and Bela were able to open the restaurant with the help of the ghosts filling in for the kitchen staff, and the episode’s ending revealed the workers all made a full recovery off-screen. Only time will tell if this ghost power makes another appearance.

The Basement Ghosts Play A Relatively Minor Supporting Role In Ghosts
It seems unlikely thatGhostsseason 4 will revisit the power of the basement ghosts, since they rarely play a major role in the sitcom and the topic of cholera is not that funny in general. However, the sequence was a light-hearted plot twist, no serious harm was done, and season 4 has given the basement ghosts a bigger role in the sitcom.Ghostsseason 4’s complicated plotsoften sideline major characters, meaning it feels like there is little room for supporting stars like the basement ghosts.
Ghosts Season 4’s Alexander Hamilton Isn’t As Special As You Think After A New Update
Ghosts season 4’s Hamilton cameo sounds a little less impressive since a new bit of behind-the-scenes context was revealed about the character’s role.
That said, Nancy’s possession of Sam played a major part in season 4’s Christmas special “A Very Arondekar Christmas Part 1,” and the basement ghosts also inadvertently brought Patience back to the mansion during season 3’s ending. The basement ghosts might be supporting characters, but they can be pivotal to a lot of plots. As such,Ghostsseason 4 may end up revisiting their newly revealed powers after all.
