Not too long ago, the mysterious floating ice sphere inFortniteBattle Royale exploded and freed the Ice King to bring about a sweeping set of changes to the free-to-play shooter, with the characterblanketing the map in snowand more. Now, it looks as if Epic Games is set to continue this wintry theme with more icy content to come, as a datamine of the release’s Update 7.30 has revealed the developer intends to add a skin for the title’s Snowfall challenges.

The skin in question is seemingly dubbed “The Prisoner”, and it had recently been embedded in ice beneathFortniteBattle Royale’s Polar Peak castle, with the cosmetic apparently set to become a reward for any players who manage to complete a total of 60 challenges throughout the course of Season 7. A couple of loading screens featuring the skin have been leaked as well, in addition to a Padlock back bling, and the cosmetic’s four different stages of progression.

For those unaware, the Prisoner was slowly being revealed toFortnitefans by way of the ice block under Polar Peak’s castle melting, with this process eventually showing players his arm sticking out of the frozen encasement. At the moment, though, all that remains is a pedestal, which insinuates that the Prisoner has finally escaped. This has led many to speculate that the Prisoner’s apparent fire-based features will eventually clear out all of the snow and return the map to its original stateonce Season 8 begins.

Beyond the forthcoming Prisoner skin, Epic Games intends to keep pumpingFortniteBattle Royale full of other content in order to keep players coming back for more. As a matter of fact, another leak from Update 7.30’s game files indicate that the developer will be holding anin-game concert featuring the artist Marshmello, which will take place this weekend. Bearing this in mind, it will be interesting to see if the Prisoner decides to show up and cut loose.

Fortniteis available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
