Epic has just announced a major update to Fortnite’s progression system is coming this winter, and some of the key changes may shock fans.
Here are the locations of every gnome on the Chapter 2 Remix map, including what landmarks on the island are closest to them:
Gnome #1
Craggy Cliffs
Go to the west side of the town, then into the store with the"Big Shop"sign. The gnome is behind the counter, right next to the cash register.
Gnome #2
From Craggy Cliffs, head east until you reach the beach of the island directly in the middle between this location and Steamy Stacks. The gnome is in front of some rocks next to an outhouse, under an umbrella near a stone teddy bear.
Gnome #3
Steamy Stacks
Go past the river south of Steamy Stacks to find the gnome directly under a huge electric pylon across from the nuclear power plant.
Gnome #4
Frenzy Farm
Cross the major road and river to the southeast of Frenzy Farm until you reach a campsite. The gnome will be next to a makeshift fire inside a clearing with large rocks near a pond.
Gnome #5
Lazy Lake
Follow the river from Lazy Lake northwest until you eventually come across a waterfall near a zipline. Drop to the ledges below to find the gnome right to the left of the waterfall, obscured somewhat by a pine tree.

Misty Meadows
Go directly east from Misty Meadows toward the snowy mountains on the island. Head up until you see a small set of solar panels, where the gnome is buried head first.
Gnome #7
Travel southwest of Misty Meadows until you see a house on a cliff overseeing a lake. Head inside to find the gnome in a room with a bathtub.
Gnome #8
Weeping Woods
Find the large green-roofed cottage east of the Weeping Woods to spot this gnome on a small bridge next to a pond behind the building.
Gnome #9
Holly Hedges
Go to the southeast corner of Holly Hedges to a house made entirely of stone. The gnome will be on your right as you enter from the front door, right next to a TV in front of a couch and chair.
Gnome #10
From Gnome #9, travel east until you see a small but large collection of trees. The gnome will be at the base of the largest tree here, looking directly at its trunk.
As you explore many areas close to the perimeter of the Chapter 2 Remix map, try to accomplish other tasks, likedestroying toilets inFortniteto complete the Fortnitemares quest along the way.
Gathering a gnomerewards you with 10,000 XPonce you interact with it for long enough. Be careful, as you can still be shot by other players while you are interacting with a gnome to collect it. While some gnomes are in open spaces that make it easy to expose your character, others are inside structures where opponents could be lurking until the Storm reaches them.
Gnomes will have an icon that appears as you approach them in different areas, similar to points of interest forJigsaw’s puzzles inFortniteseen in other modes. Those who take the time to find all gnome locations onFortniteRemix Chapter 2’s island can expect to gain 100,000 XP from their hard work.
