A Flash Villain’s Weapon Turns the Tide for DC’s Heroes

Abra Kadabra Paves the Justice League’s Path to Victory

Abra Kadabra is known to bean enemy of the Flash, but his magic has just been used in a way that’s far from villainous. When Green Lantern uses Abra Kadabra’s wand, it does more than save him fromJadestone. It also teleports him to the Justice League’s new base of operations in Themyscira. With him,Waller’s entire arsenal of weaponry is teleported to the Justice League as well, giving the heroes access to powerful weapons that can aid their cause. Like him or not, Abra Kadabra’s magic just leveled the playing field in a big way.

The members of the Justice League —including the Flash— are in a rough position after the events ofAbsolute Power#2 by Mark Waid and Dan Mora. Without their powers, they have no way to combat Waller’s Amazos. However, thanks to Abra Kadabra’s magic, the heroes of the DCU finally stand a chance in their fight against Amanda Waller. They now have access to weaponry that can make up for their lack of powers. Abra Kadabra may be a villain, but his role in helping the Justice League take the world back from Waller could affect how he’s perceived.

Abra Kadabra May Have Just Saved the DCU

Does This Mean He’s a Hero Now?

This magical assistance by Abra Kadabra has changed the game for the DCU. If the Justice League uses the stolen weapons to stop Waller, their victory will be owed, at least in part, to a supervillain. Abra Kadabra was recently put in his place after his latestscheme against the Flash Family failed, so it’s safe to say that he won’t be trading villainy for heroism any time soon. Still, despite his evil tendencies, there’s no question that his inadvertent contribution to the Justice League’s cause has made thisFlashvillain a key player in saving the DC Universe.

The Flash

The Flash is the superhero name given to the DC Comics character who utilizes unparalleled speed tied to a dimensional power known as the “speed force” to overwhelm their opposition. Premiering in 1939, the original Flash arrived as Jay Garrick. Still, it would be superseded by Barry Allen in popularity and featured status, but the Flash is one character that has met many of their alternate selves. The character is typically seen as a part of the Justice League in nearly all incarnations.
