Fallout 3 Evil Entrepreneur Allistair Tenpenny Returns
The Man Clearly Enjoys A Good View
When playingFallout 3it’s hard to miss Allistair Tenpenny, the owner of the luxurious Tenpenny Towers, whose right-hand man will approach the Lone Wanderer in Megaton with a proposition. When met in 2277 Allistair is an old man, having long since made the journey from his homeland of England across the Atlantic to the Captial Wasteland. However when exploring Westminster inFallout: London, the Wayfarer can bump into a much younger, but no less unscrupulous, Allistair, who is having an issue with his view.

Players Have A Choice Between Siding With Tenpenny Or Megaton
To understand the role Allistair plays inFallout: London, his role inFallout 3must first be understood. Allistair Tenpenny first appears in theFalloutuniverse in the Capital Wasteland and is described in theFallout 3loading screens asa British refugee who came to the US to seek his fortune. When the Lone Wanderer encounters Allistair it seems he has done just that, as he is the owner and landlord of the grand Tenpenny Towers, an elite apartment building in the southwest of the wasteland.
The Lone Wanderer will initially be approached while in theFallout 3settlement of Megatonby the mysterious Mister Burke, who has a terrible request for them.Burke will offer 500 caps if they help him detonate the bomb at the center of the town, which will obviously destroy the settlement and kill all the residents. This is often one of the first key story moments that can influence theending ofFallout 3, and if the Lone Wanderer agrees, they will be invited to Tenpenny Tower to meet the man behind this bizarre and cruel request.

If the Lone Wanderer has the Black Widow perk they can persuade Burke to up the reward to 1000 caps.
Meeting Allistair in his luxury penthouse, the elderly gentleman will explain calmly thathe wants Megaton and all its inhabitants destroyed because they are spoiling his view. The casual nature with which he speaks about the murder of a town of people is unnerving, and should the Lone Wanderer assist, they will be rewarded with an apartment in Tenpenny Tower. Given their behavior, it should come as no surprise that Allistair, and his assistant Burke, are two of only nine characters inFallout 3with Very Evil Karma levels.

Fallout: London Sets The Stage For Megaton
Set 40 years beforeFallout 3,Fallout: Londonlets the Wayfarer meet a much younger Allistair Tenpenny, but other than his age, little about him is different. During the quest“A View To Kill,”Allistair makes the same request he will make in his old age, foran offending eyesore that is ruining his view to be removed. In this case, the eyesore in question is the London Eye, a huge observation wheel that was completed in 2000 and originally known as the Millennium Wheel.
Fallout: London - Best Things To Do First
For players new to the Fallout: 4 mod, Fallout: London, there are a few things you should do first, such as gaining weapons, allies, and settlements.
Allistair can be found sitting directly opposite Big Ben and will call over to make his offer. Just as with Megaton 40 years later, this location is the home to a settlement, and just like Megaton, the Wayfarer has a choice to either help Allistair or the community he wants rid of. Allistair’s behavior inFallout: Londonserves as botha great call back to hisFallout 3questand an illustration that he was always this way. However,Fallout: Londonalso expands Allistair’s backstory in a brilliant and lore-accurate way by making him a member of the Gentry.

The Gentry are the current rulers of London and are made up of the descendants of the British government and pre-war aristocracy. Based out of the heavily guarded and gated Westminster, having Allistair be a part of this faction makes perfect sense given his clear elitism. There is a small consolation for any who don’t want to help this pompous entrepreneur that something must go wrong in the next 40 years afterFallout: Londonto make Allistair leave the comfort of his ex-wife’s estate and make the perilous trip across the ocean.
