What The Dexter Sneak Peek Reveals
This Show Is Shockingly Faithful
The sneak peek offers early insight into the dynamics between each of these characters inthe upcomingDexterprequel.Gibson perfectly replicates Hall’s mannerismsand even shares his smirk and general appearance. The other characters also reflect the original stars and mimic them perfectly. It can be challenging to embody such well-defined characters, but this short two-minute clip does an excellent job of capturing them all. Having Hall as the narrator works well, especially since Gibson’s Dexter still appears to be fairly reserved.
TheDexterTVseries was inspired by Jeff Lindsay’s books, but it quickly took on a life of its own.

Original Sin’s traileralready revealed a few clips from the show, but this is the first major extended sneak peek. It was plucked directly from what appears to be the first episode, giving even more insight into the new release. The trailer revealed that the show will likely tie into the upcoming sequel series,Resurrection. This sneak peek, however, is much more focused on what the show will be in its own right. Without worrying about the future, it focuses on the present show and its impact on the franchise.
Our Take On The Dexter Sneak Peek
This Should Raise Excitement For The Show
The sneak peek is relatively quiet. There are no murders, no serial killers, and no threats presented. Dexter appears quiet, but he is never quite murderous. His dark urges never show themselves outside of an ominous smirk. Yet, despite that, this two-minute clip is exciting. Getting to see these beloved characters again is excellent in itself, making up for the lack of any inherent action. Similarly, the eerie nature of the meetings, knowing what Dexter will do, is perfect.Dexter: Original Sinis just a few days away from its December 13 release, and this reveal makes it more exciting.
