TenZ’s return seemingly marks the end of the road for dephh as the in-game leader of Sentinels VALORANT roster.
Tyson “TenZ” Ngo moved to the inactive roster due to illness and an injury. Substitute player Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen then slotted in. Now, both will start for Sentinels as it appears that Rory “dephh” Jackson has either been benched or removed from the VALORANT team.

Sentinels was primed to be a top team in VCT Americas 2023. Thing didn’t pan out that way, however. As of Week 6, the team has just two wins in the league. They’ve made coaching changes, roster changes, and role changes. Nothing has helped.
Well, it looks like they have one more trick up their sleeve with yet another roster adjustment. After a brief leave of absence and an expletive-driven announcement, TenZ is back, but it is not at the expense of Marved. The original sixth man for the team stays on board.
It is IGL dephh who finds himself replaced on the Sentinels VALORANT roster. Unfortunately, this felt like just a matter of time when you look at the results alongsidethe removal of Donald “SyykoNT” Muiras coach.

With the need for an IGL, it isn’t exactly obvious who will take over. Dephh’s responsibilities for calling the VALORANT team’s plays could shift to anyone. We’ve seen more and more calling from players not labeled the in-game leader in recent history, so who knows?
This is Sentinels' last chance in the regular season to show us what they’re made of. Demands for change will be even more prevalent if this roster move fails to make a difference. All five starters are incredible talents in VALORANT, but they’ll need to pull it together as a team before it is too late.
