As depicted inDeadpool Team-Up#884, the Watcher decided that Deadpool was dangerous, and swore to watch him like a hawk – literally. In bird form, started tailing right behind Deadpool at all times. Things reached a head when they encountered a puppy – or at least Uatu thought it was a puppy. When Deadpool went to attack the puppy, a shocked Uatu broke his non-interference rule by punching Deadpool in the face. He immediately regretted this, as the puppy evolved into a monster.
Having already interfered, against his sacred vow,Uatu decided to truly get involved by fighting the tentacled puppy creature.Once he had beaten and devoured the creature whole, Uatu beggedDeadpool not to speak a wordof this to anyone. Deadpool agreed, on one condition: that Uatu not onlystop following him everywhere, but that Uatu stops watching him altogether, never to interfere in his adventures again.The Watcher begrudgingly agreed – although he tried to get his assistant to start watching Deadpool, which backfired for the poor Assistant Watcher.

With his incredible powers of healing and regeneration, Deadpool was initially depicted as an X-Men villain but went on to become an anti-hero. After getting his own movie series starting in 2016, the third Deadpool movie finally brings the wisecracking, fourth-wall-breaking character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
