Dead By Daylighthas been going strong for a long time, and now they have released a new 2x8 mode focused on theResident Evilfranchise. In the past, the 2x8 modes have been more focused on the gameplay aspect, while restricting the Killers available and with no particular perks for choosing specific Survivors. In this mode, players will be able to pick specific Resident Evil characters, and the mode is tailored to that experience.
Asone of the best horror games to play,Dead By Daylightkeeps the game fresh by adding new content, characters, perks, and mechanics. The 2x8 mode is an example of this,as it has previously had two iterations that have made the game feel different and fresh. It doubles the number of characters on both sides, making a lobby that is twice the size and making the game that much more intense as well.

What’s Returning & What’s New With This Iteration
In the past, the 2x8 mode was a lot more limited. This time, it is focused on theResident Evilcharacters. The basic idea of the mode is the same.Players can only choose from a limited number of Killers and Survivors, although that list has been expanded. There are also select maps in rotation for the game mode, and the Raccoon City Police Department has been added to that rotation.
There are also predetermined Loadouts, which are determined by a selection of Classes that will give each side a certain set of Skills. Unlike in the regular mode, theSurvivors fromDead by Daylightwill have to fix 8 total generators out of the 13 on the map. The maps are also larger than they were before, giving players 3 different exits to escape from.

Dungeons & Dragons Collab Announced For Dead By Daylight Despite Declining Player Numbers
The latest collaboration between Dead by Daylight and Dungeons & Dragons is looking to take the initiative to bring back up declining player numbers.
Instead of Hooks, Killers put Survivors into Cages of Corruption in past versions of this game mode. Survivors can heal themselves by finding cures in Supply Crates, and Herbs will be spawning throughout the map.Yellow Herbs will heal “1 Hook State” while Green Herbs will heal “1 Health State,”but Killers can destroy these herbs if they find them. It also implies that this time, 2x8 might be using the normal Hooks instead of Cages.

In theResident Evilversion, previewed in the trailer fromDead By Daylight,Nemesis and The Mastermind (Albert Wesker) will be looking to infect and weaken Survivors as well. Nemesis will be infecting Survivors with the T-Virus, while The Mastermind will be using Uroboros. If only one is present on a map, the antidote will be specific. If both are, it will be a singular antidote that will heal either. Additionally, if all but 2 Survivors have escaped, 3 Hatches will become available to escape through. Once 1 Survivor goes through it, it will become closed off.
Characters & Costumes For This Resident Evil Mode
There are no new characters, but both The Nemesis and The Mastermind are joining the Killer roster, which has been fairly limited in the past. Additionally, there are already 4Resident EvilSurvivors in the game, each of whom will be available for anyone to use for free in the 2x8 mode. TheResident EvilSurvivors are:
Each of these characters will also be getting new outfits. The Nemesis is getting a Nemesis Origin Outfit, inspired by his 1999 appearance. The Mastermind will get the New Dawn Outfit, which is based on his appearance from theResident Evil 4 Remake. All 4 Survivors will be getting a “classic look” added to their possible outfits.

Every Killer In Dead By Daylight, Ranked Tier List
There are a lot of Killers in Dead By Daylight, both original creations and franchise crossovers. Which Killers are at the top of the food chain?
The other Killers that are available in the 2x8 mode are:
This list isn’t guaranteed, but as far as we know theResident EvilKillers inDead By Daylightare “added” to the rotation andthere are others that are playable as players do not have to choose bothResident EvilKillers. Players can choose any Survivor they want, as the Classes determine the Loadout rather than pre-determined Skills.
The Dates For This 2x8 Iteration
Like the previous iterations, this is a limited-time event. This year,it will be running from February 10 - February 25. In the past there has been a daily login with rewards, but it is not yet known if this will be the case with this iteration. Either way, players will have 15 days to enjoy this 2x8 mode inDead By Daylight.
