Marvel Needs To Show His Campaign After The Echo Tease
The last time viewers saw Kingpin, intheEchopost-credits scene, he was only thinking about running for mayor. Since he’s already elected mayor inDaredevil: Born Again, it means Marvel skipped his entire campaign, despite the many issues Fisk would have. Fisk has been arrested twice, and his crimes have made major headlines since he is a well-known figure in New York. He’s also bribed and blackmailed many law enforcement agencies, like the FBI, so there would ostensibly be plenty of hesitation from voters about electing him and protest from many in law enforcement.
Kingpin is a charismatic person to the public, and people have rallied behind his personal story of his rise to success. However, the con has been exposed, and it wouldn’t make sense for him to become mayor without significantly changing his reputation, especially ifDaredevil: Born Againcontinues the Netflix series. Hopefully, Marvel will show some of his campaign, as Kingpin’s journey from criminal to public servant should be fascinating.
