Dandadanhas taken the anime world by storm in late 2024, delivering one of the most bizarre and yet successful visual spectacles in fans' recent memories. Based on the manga by Yukinobu Tatsu,Dandadanflew to the top of popularity charts thanks toa viral opening song, amazing art and animation, and a story that perfectly blends humor, action, and romance.
With the first part of the anime concluding with episode #12, airing on July 24, 2025, fans were wondering when the next installment would come. Now, in the wake of season one’s epic finale,we have learnedDandadanseason two will air in June 2025, and a key visual has already been revealed.
This will technically be the second cour of season one, but anime studios often use the words “cour” and “season” interchangeably.

The Anime Will Pick Up From the Story of Jiji and the Evil Eye
Considering that episode 12 ofDandadanends abruptly right at the beginning of a new arc, it was obvious that the production decided to split the first season into two. This decision gives studio Science Saru the time and resources to make sure that the standard of the anime will be as high as what fans have already gotten used to. Considering how muchDandadanhas been praised for its artistic direction, it would be a huge blow to see a drop in quality caused by overworking of the staff as happens with so many anime.
Luckily, fans will not have to wait too much either, asDandadanwill come back in July 2025, just seven months after the end of the first cour. The anime will pick up with the new arc which focuses on a new character named Jiji and a new, powerful yokai known as Evil Eye. It will be interesting to see what challenges await Momo and Okarun, both on the battlefield and in their blossoming relationship.
