I think the very point ofcosplayis to bring a character into real life in such a way that it feels like a two-dimensional page jumping directly into the three-dimensional world. One of the things thatCyclopsfans like me have never really gotten to see is Cyclops' iconic X-Men suit onscreen in this very way.It only took a bit of cosplay, but that has finally changed.

Thanks to films likeDeadpool & Wolverine,where fans finally got to seethe iconic Wolverine costume in live action, studios are starting to see a benefit to presenting heroes on-screen as they appear on the comics page. With kevinkosplays' costume, Cyclops looks terrific, both paying homage to his comic self and yet translating fantastically to the real world.I’ve been saying this for years, but the comic-accurate look can be done and done well.

The classic red and yellow color pattern matches so well with the iconic red light of Cyclops’ optic beam. The lens flare is especially my favorite, once again bringing that comic book feel to the real world that fools me into thinking I’m reading a comic. This is cosplay done at its finest, thanks to kevinkosplays' intricate character work ofa hero greater than Captain America.
Kevinkosplays fulfills my hope for a live-action Cyclops done right, with a fantastic lens flaring optic beamdone not just in a realistic style, but in a comic style.Cyclops doesn’t need to be translated from the world of comics. Cyclops, a.k.a. Scott Summers, is the X-Men’s core team leader and one of the first characters to appear in the franchise. As a human/mutant hybrid, Cyclops has the power to launch massive bursts of energy from his eyes that are regulated through the use of a specially designed visor. Despite his calm and collected demeanor, he tends to lose it when in the presence of a fellow team member, Wolverine.
