Queen Jool was first mentioned inStar Wars: Legacy#0, but her in-narrative debut didn’t come untilStar Wars: Legacy#14. In her introduction in issue #0, her character design makes it immediately clear that she belongs to the Hutt species, with a striking resemblance to Jabba. Like Jabba, Jool has the appearance of an oversized slug with a yellowish-green skin tone. However, this is where the similarities end—Jool is presented in a far more glamorous fashion, adorned with jewelry, a red corset, and a bejeweled eyepatch over her left eye. This eyepatch also doubles as a cybernetic enhancement, enabling her to monitor her cantina.

As detailed inStar Wars: Legacy#0, Jool is the owner of a notorious cantina—Rik’s—located in the underworld of Coruscant. Like Jabba, she is entrenched in the criminal world, not only as a bar owner but also as an information broker. In many ways,Jool embodies the female counterpart to Jabba, and with her glam-inspired appearance, she is perhaps the closestStar Warshas ever come to offering a"sexy"version of the iconic character. While she may not be part of the mainStar Warscanon, she remains memorable for her unique portrayal.
