An Underrated Character Will Finally Receive The Spotlight

Ukitake’s Time To Shine Is Nearly Here

Bleachhas many interesting characters that went ignored or didn’t receive that much screen time as they truly deserved, but Ukitake is by far one of the most underrated members of the cast, especially considering his lore. He has an ailment that prevents him from being in much of the action, and although he was involved in the “Battle At Fake Karakura Town”, fans didn’t get to see him go all out, at least compared to the other captains and lieutenants.

Thousand Year Blood Warhas already seen amazing execution of new scenes, such as Shinji Hirako and Senjumaru Shutara’s Bankai, Harribel’s defeat, and Yhwach’s birth, so Ukitake could receive content that is just as good. Furthermore, he made an interesting cameoin cour 2 where, in the middle of the battle, he was praying in front of an altar. This did confirm Kubo’s statement that fans will see Mimihagi and Ukitake in the next season, as Ukitake’s ritual is definitely related to Mimihagi, the deity that dwells inside of him.

There is still quite a lot of mysteries surrounding this character, but hopefully, fans can find out more about whatever Kubo and the production team are planning.

The second invasion is truly heating up now, and many characters such as Aizen, Shunsui, Yoruichi and Mayuri will be finally making their move. Despite all that, Ukitake is still one of the more exciting ones, given how he hasn’t been as relevant and that fans don’t know what will become of him.Bleach: Thousand Year Blood Warcour 3 has a lot in store for fans of the sweetheart and interesting captain, and Kubo will surely deliver.
