Fraser Olender has been a great addition toBelow Deckfor the last few seasons, but has he been a producer plant all along?Fraser was introduced to the originalBelow Deckseries during season 9 as a regular stew under Chief Stew Heather Chase. After she was accused by a fellow cast member for using a racial slur, it became a huge controversy, and the network decided not to bring her back. Lucky for Fraser, he was promoted to Chief Stew forBelow Deckseason 10. Since then, Fraser has remained the Chief Stew in the original series.

After season 10, Fraser returned as the Chief Stew for a second season inBelow Deckseason 11. While he was just getting used to working under Captain Lee Rosbach, the captain switched on him, and Captain Kerry Titheradge took his place. Nonetheless, the captain transition was easy for Fraser, almost a little too easy. He and Captain Kerry had their downs last season, but overall, Fraser never got on his bad side. Could this be due to Fraser being a good employee, or is he a producer plant?

Fraser Offers Comedic Relief

From the moment Fraser joined the series, he has offered some sort of comedic relief. Whether it’s in his confessionals, under his breath, or to one of his fellow crew members,Fraser always knows how to crack a joke. DuringBelow Deckseason 9, Fraser constantly made side remarks under his breath about Heather not being great at her job and how he could do better; he even did this as a Chief Stew. What Fraser says is quite mean, but he says it so witty that it’s hard to see it as a dig.

The reason his comedic relief is an indication of Fraser beingaBelow Deckproducer plantis comedic relief is necessary in every type of show, including reality shows.Everyone loves a character who can make them laugh, and Fraser can do that in almost every scenehe is in. While drama is great for a show likeBelow Deck, it also needs a funny character, and that’s Fraser.

Fraser Doesn’t Seem To Work In Yachting Off Season

According toFraser’sInstagram,he doesn’t seem to work as a Chief Stew when he’s not filming. All of his grid photos and even his Instagram Stories only include him on a boat if he’s vacationing. It’s possible Fraser doesn’t show off his work or that he decided to quit full-time yachting since appearing onBelow Deck. However, most of Fraser’s photos, even before appearing on the show, are mostly of him traveling or hanging out with friends. This is also a sign Fraser might be aproducer plant like Bri Mulleror Chef Johnathan Shillingford fromBelow Deck Mediterranean.

When someone’s resume cannot be found on LinkedIn, usually, this means their career in this field was short or never existed. In Fraser’s case, he seemingly did work in yachting before, but it does seem it was for a short time. Also, if Fraser did work in yachting for a short time, it was likely so he could potentially joinBelow Deck. This makes the most sense, as Fraser is no stranger to appearing on reality TV.

Fraser Has Appeared In Other Reality Shows

Before appearing onBelow Deck, Fraser had a short stint on the British reality seriesMade In Chelsea. Fraser’s appearance onMade In Chelseawas minor and didn’t last very long.He starred inMade In Chelseaseason 11 as a friend of full-time cast member Lucy Watsonand only made an appearance in a handful of episodes. Fraser’s time on the show was short, and he quickly moved on from this show toBelow Deck.

It’s very likelyBelow Deckproducers scouted Fraser fromMade In Chelseaand asked him to join the Bravo series. A lot of cast members from theBelow Deckfranchise are from countries outside of the U.S., so it’s possible producers showMade In Chelseaand reached out to Fraser about joiningBelow Deck. Fraser did make quite the impression onMade In Chelsea,so it’s not shocking thatproducers maybe wanted him onBelow Deckto stir the pot.

Whether or not Fraser is a producer plant doesn’t matter. He adds value to the cast and has become an integral part of the franchise now. With Fraser slated to joinBelow Deckseason 12, viewers are certain he will bring the laughs, drama, and so much more.
