Batman requests that Clark write an exposé about Theromise, using Batman as his source.Batman knows he’ll be implicated once the story gets out, but pushes his friend to publish the piece. The next day, Theromise and its clientele (such as Bruce Wayne), come under fire for their shocking and unethical practices.

It’s no secret that Batman has been getting older in recent years and even Batman found himself tempted when he was approached by a new business called Theromise. This company offered experimental treatments that could restore Bruce’s vitality and make him feel like he was back in his prime. Despite his initial qualms, Batman agreed to the treatment and was shocked to discover how well it worked. However, an investigation into Theromise ledBatman to find out that the company was actually using blood stolen from children who were locked up in juvenile detentionto create its miracle treatments.

When it comes to villains like Killer Croc or the Riddler, Batman has the brains and brawn to take his rogues' gallery down. But even Batman knows that when it comes to a massive company, there’s not much he can do. Yes, what Theromise is doing is just as vile as anything Mad Hatter or the Penguin does, but taking a business down isn’t as easy as punching someone’s lights out. The only way something like Theromise is going down is with the blinding light of journalism,and that’s not something Batman can do on his own.

The press, on the other hand, can throw their weight around and expose large institutions and bring their shady actions to the light, which is much better at invoking large-scale change compared to any batarangs or hard-hitting punches the Dark Knight can dole out.Batmandoes a wonderful job most of the time, but he’s not always the solution to every problem facing his city.
