Screen Rant: How does it feel to know how much people around the world love this series?

Sarah Greene: So lovely. We’re so proud of it. You know? We loved, loved, loved, making it. And so then for it to resonate so well and connect with audiences globally, I think was - it’s so lovely making something you love and put it out into the world and have other people love it as well.

Eva Birthistle: Excited.

Screen Rant: It does feel like things wrap up at the end of season 1, so I was thrilled to see Bad Sisters get picked up for season 2. What did that feel like, when you got the green light?

Eva Birthistle: It was a good day.

Sarah Greene: It was a great day. Relief, I think.

Eva Birthistle: Yeah, because we were really hoping for it, and we had to wait the guts of a year before we knew that it was going to happen, and there was no guarantee. So when we got the word, we were doing press for season 1, so we were all together, which is really lovely. So we could, we could celebrate.

Eva Birthistle and Sarah Greene Praise The Show’s Casting Department For Getting It Right

“The bond was kind of instantaneously really. It happened so easily and naturally. I think they cast the show very well.”

Screen Rant: Have you formed a sisterly bond in real life?

Sarah Greene: Oh, it definitely has.

Eva Birthistle: The bond was kind of instantaneously really. It happened so easily and naturally. I think they cast the show very well. They just got the dynamics right, and it wasn’t work. The conversation started very easily, the rapport and the genuinely liking each other’s company was there from the beginning, and then it was just a matter of growing and us getting to know each other more.

Sarah Greene: And continuing the friendships after we wrapped. We were in touch all the time and hanging out all the time. So to get that call that you’re going back to work with your best friends, it’s pretty great.

“They’re at her hen party, then the wedding, and then a suitcase is pulled out of a lake in the back of Minna’s house, and in it contains the remains, the chopped-up body, of George, JP’s father.”

Screen Rant: What can you tease aboutBad Sistersseason 2?

Eva Birthistle: Two years have passed since the first season. JP is dead. Everybody’s sort of coping with their own ways of moving on.

Sarah Greene: Some better than others.

Eva Birthistle: Ursula is not coping terribly well, it turns out. Grace has moved on with a lovely man. Very, very happy.

Sarah Greene: They’re super happy. We get to see the girls really enjoying life. They’re at her hen party, then the wedding, and then a suitcase is pulled out of a lake in the back of Minna’s house, and in it contains the remains, the chopped up body, of George, JP’s father, and so, from the grave, he haunts them and that it sets the wheels in motion.

Eva Birthistle: The spotlight’s back on them.

Sarah Greene: The case reopens and all of a sudden, they’re scared. They’re super scared and feel like they’re been hunted.
