What The Armor Trailer Means For Sylvester Stallone’s Career
Stallone Is In A Different Kind of Role
It is exciting to seeStallone return to the action genre for thisArmortrailer. While he is appearing as Dwight Manfredi inTulsa Kingseason 2this year, it has been a year since Stallone was in an action movie, withThe Expendables 4in 2023. Stallone has frequented the genre throughout his career, so seeing him return for an action movie forArmoris an exciting way for the actor to stay true to form.
13 Action Heroes Played By Sylvester Stallone, Ranked Weakest To Strongest
Sylvester Stallone has been in a huge number of action movies, and his cast of characters ranges from conventionally strong to superhuman.
Departing from his usual fare, however, Stallone will have the challenge of playing the villain inArmor. While it seems like Stallone’s character may be the protagonist of the film, he ostensibly antagonizes two innocent security guards. So, even if audiences are supposed to be most aligned with Stallone and his team’s robbery mission, the fight for survival is for the father and son security guard duo.Stallone is often the action lead, rather than the villain, makingArmoran interesting stretch for the actor.

Our Take On The Armor Trailer
Armor Could Play With The Audience’s Loyalties
Watching theArmortrailer,I am struck by the way in which even the trailer itself toys with who the lead character is.In a typical survival narrative, the focus is on those in the fight to survive and how they got into that situation. TheArmortrailer does touch on this point, but it starts by introducing Stallone’s crew before anything else. OnceArmoris released, I am interested to see who the film is getting us to root for as the story progresses.
