InAbsolute Power#2 by Waid and Dan Mora,Jon Kent has been corruptedby the Brainiac Queen and given terrifying cybernetic enhancements that turn him into a killing machine. Under Brainiac Queen’s control,Jon attacks Superman, and father and son are forced to fight each other in a heartbreaking scene. Superman attempts to reach Jon, but in the end, he’s forced to leave him behind. As it stands,the situation seems hopeless for Superman and his son.

There’s still a chance that Superman and his son will be able to reconcile on the page, not just in cover art.
