Alien: IsolationSequel Is Creative Assembly’s First Horror Game Since 2014

Will Likely Draw On Years Of Experience

Rumors about asequel toAlien: Isolationhave been floating around as early as 2022 when an insider claimed that the game, code-namedMarathon,was in development. If true, this means that Creative Assembly, the studio behind the horror classic, has been quietly working on the game for at least two years.

A Predator Game Like Alien: Isolation Would Be The Ultimate Hunt

Predator games have failed to adapt the sci-fi series, but using Alien: Isolation as a framework could create the ultimate hunting experience.

Creative Assembly hasn’t stopped making video games since the 2014Alientitle, so they will have plenty of experience to draw on for the sequel. However, the studio hasn’t worked on any new horror titles in the past 10 years, instead sticking totitles from theTotal Warseries. The team has perfected the formula for that game, and shifting to a newAliengame will mark their first foray back into the horror genre.

We Hope The Alien: Isolation Sequel Recaptures The Love For The World Of Alien

The OriginalAlien: IsolationWas A Loving Homage To The Horror Movie

According to Al Hope, when the team first started working onAlien: Isolation, they wanted to create a “truly authentic experience that went back to the roots of the Alien franchise.” Creative Assembly wanted tobring the horror and dread of the 1979 movie to the medium of video games.

Since the release ofAlien: Isolation, the survival horror genre has evolved to bring a whole new level of terror to gamers' hands. Games likeThe Last of UsandDead Spacepushed the limits of what a horror game could do. I would love to see the sequel toAlien: Isolationtake inspiration from both the movies it’s based on, and the genre as a whole.
